Donation boxes in Marathwada temples sealed


In view of demonetisation, the charity department in Marathwada region has decided to seal all donation boxes in all temples in eight districts of region till December 30. In view of possibility of large scale black money of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes will come in the donation boxes of the temples, the decision was taken by the department of Aurangabad and Latur yesterday. After the deadline of depositing banned notes in banks by December end, all donation boxes will openin the presence of charity department officials on December 31 and after counting the currencies, the same will be submitted to the state department, said officials.

In Marathwada region Mahur's 'Renuka Mata' temple in Nanded district and 'Maa Tuljabhavai' at Tuljapur in Osmanabad district which are two 'Shaktipeeths' out of 52 in the country biggest Devasthans in the region along with three 'Jyotirlinga ' temples they are Grushneswar at Ellorra in Aurangabad district, Aunda Nagnath at Aunda in Hingoli district and Parli Vaijnath at Parli in Beed district among others local temples.
