Senior Shiv Sena leader Pradeep Jaiswal hospitalised

Senior Shiv Sena leader and former MP Pradeep Jaiswal, who was in judicial custody, has been admitted to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on Tuesday following a complaint of chest pain. Jaiswal was arrested by city police on Monday, in connection with alleged ransacking of furniture in the Kranti Chowk police station here while demanding the release of three youths who were arrested by police in connection with recent riots in city.

The court granted 14-day judicial custody to Jaiswal on Monday evening. The court later rejected a regular bail application filed by Jaiswal. After complaints of chest pain, he was taken to the OPD of GMCH where he was advised to shift in ICU of the Department of Medicine amid tight police security.
