Samsung launches the Galaxy Note 800 a quick review

Samsung has launched the Galaxy Note 10.1 in India called the Galaxy Note 800 starting for Rs 39,990. For those who don’t know, the Galaxy Note 800 is an Android powered tablet that also makes use of Samsung’s S-Pen input/digitizer.

The Galaxy Note 800 runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, which Samsung’s proprietary TouchWiz Nature UX running on top. The innards of the device contain a powerful 1.4GHz quad-core Exynos processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a microSD card reader that can support up to 32GB of storage, a 5-megapixel rear camera, a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera, Wi-Fi, 3G and a 10.1- TFT LCD display with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels. Unique to the Galaxy Note 800 is the TouchWiz Nature UX which allows for unique features in the Android UI. Some interesting features include the ability run two applications side by side which is the extension of the Pop-up-play functionality in the Galaxy S III. Besides this it will also come preloaded with a number of applications optimized for the S-pen digitizer that will also include a version of Adobe Photoshop for Android.
