Mahabaleshwar, a famous hill station that is situated in the Western part in India is known for its scenic beauty. It is situated at an altitude of 1,372m in Sahyadri Hills in Satara District. The place provides a splendid view of the valleys and the sea to the tourists enjoying pony rides or taking a stroll in its lanes. Mahabaleshwar Temple
Dedicated to the Hindu deity, Lord Shiva, people flock in huge numbers to worship ‘lingam’ that is kept in a dedicated chamber. The temple is surrounded by high stone walls on all its sides and has a large central hall.

Dhobi and the Chinaman's waterfalls have maximum visitors every year. They are popular picnic spots providing an opportunity to people to enjoy amid gurgling water. Lingmala is another waterfall that flows down a steep hill and creates an illusion of silver water.

Venna Lake
Venna Lake has boating and fishing attractions. It is surrounded by strawberry stalls and is enjoyed largely by kids due to pony riding in this area.

Landscape Points
Mahabaleshwar has about 30 major lookout points that provides an amazing view of the landscape. Wilson Point is the most popular one because it is the highest point located at approximately 4700 feet. It is also known as a Sunset Point that offers a great view of the sunrise and sunset. Connaught Peak is the second highest point that provides a view of a vast green landscape underneath. Some of the other must-visit points are the Echo Point, Panchgani Point, Elphinstone Point, Bombay Point, etc.
