318 nominations filed for 9 Assembly seats in Aurangabad


A total of 318 candidates have filed their nominations papers for nine assembly segments in Aurangabad district since September 20 to till last day today. Prominent among them were School Education Minister Rajendra Darda from Aurnagabad east, state minister Abdul Sattar from Sillod, former minister Haribhau Bagde From Phulambri, sitting MLA Kalyan Kale, Aurangabad West sitting MLA Sanjay Shirshat, Aurangbad Central MLA Pradeep Jaiswal, Shiv Sena district chief Ambadas Danve and Sitting MLA Prashant Bamb from Gangapur, Sanjay Waghchoure (NCP) sitting MLA And fomer MLA sena Sandipan Bhumare from Paithan, Panthar Republic Party chief Gangadhar Gade, Left parties Dr Bhalchandra Kongo, Ram Bahethi and others.


Reports from election commission sources said, highest 56 candidates have filed their nominations in Aurangbad-east followed by Aurangabad Central 50, Paithan 46 candidates, Gagapur 39 candidates,Aurangabad west 33 candidates, Kannad 37 candidates, Sillod 28 candidates, Phulmabri and Kannad 23 each, and Vaijapur 20 candidates , they said.

Scrutiny of nomination papers will be done on Sept 29 and the Election Commission (EC) will allocate symbols to independents and unrecognized party candidates on Sept 30. Last date for withdrawal of nomination is October 1, for the Assembly election scheduled for October 15. Counting of votes will take place on October 19, EC sources said
