BJP to observe 1st death anniversary of Munde with week-long programmes in Aurangabad

The Bharatiya Janata Party has organised various week-long programmes in the city to observe the first death anniversary of former Union minister and the mass leader from Marathwada, Gopinath Munde, tomorrow. To mark the occasion, BJP has organised several week-long programmes in the city including a tree plantation drive, kirtan, bhajan, blood donation camp, Swachta Abhiyan and series of lectures, besides paying tributes to the departed leader at various places at different locations in the city. The programmes will conclude on June 10, a release issued by the party here today said.

The veteran BJP leader died in a road accident in New Delhi on June 3 last year, few days after being sworn-in as Cabinet minister. Meanwhile, the state government has announced to build a memorial on two acre government land at Jalna near Government Milk Dairy. The memorial would consist of a mini theatre, which would display a documentary on the life of the late Munde. Besides, a landscape and park would also come up on the spot.
