Bicycle rally for cause of women safety on July 26

With an eye on boosting the confidence and morale of girls and women in general, city Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar has organised a bicycling rally under the slogan of "Cycle for the cause for women safety," on July 26. According to official sources, the rally will start from CP office after inauguration by Legislative Assembly Speaker Haribhau Bagade. Aurangabad MP Chandrakant Khaire, city mayor Trimbak Type, MLCs, MLAs, corporators, and eminent personalities from different walks of life are expected to participate in the rally.

Covering 17.5 km distance, the rally will follow the route of Mill corner, Baba petrol pump, Kranti chowk, Seven hills, Cidco bus stand, API corner and Prozone Mall, Ambedkar Chowk, Baliram Patil High School, Rural SP office, TV Centre, District Collector office, Aam Khas Maidan, Bhadkal Gate and return back to the CP office, where the rally will end. The sources further said that every participant will get certificates and mementos and some consolation prizes. Several Mahila organisations, women self groups, and girls from different schools and colleges, as well working women and girls from different sectors will take part. The rally is also open to citizens and youths in general, sources added. Mr Kumar appealed to all citizens to participate in it and make it a success. Registration for the rally will start tomorrow onwards at the Crime Branch department. UNI
