Installation of 33 KV power sub-stations in rural areas go on to help farmers: Bavankule

Maharahstra Energy Chandrasekhar Bavankule today asserted that installation of 33 KVpower sub-stations in rural areas of the district will go on to help the farmers to get uninterrupted power supply for their agriculture pumps and said that priority would be given to the repair and maintenance works. Speaking after inaugurating a 33 KV eletricty sub-station at Mategaon village in Gevrai tehsil of Beed district, Mr Bavankule said that the farmers who have applied for electricity connection for their agriculture pumps in the district would get the connection by the end of year 2016 and informed that the state government hasprovided Rs 83 crore for this purpose.

He further said that due to extra load, power transformers were becoming faulty for which repairing sheds will be set up in each tehsil town which will help to get the repair work done without any delay. State Rural Development Minister Pankaja Munde, who was also present on the occasion, said that problems of roads, electricity and scarcity of water would be solved on priority basis
