Nitin Gadkari to inaugurate various national highways in Aurangabad

Union Cabinet road construction andSurface Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari will inaugurate the newnational highway worth more than Rs 16000 crore at Aurangabadtomorrow, passing through Marathwada, Khandesh and Vidharbha region. Addressing a joint press conference here today by the BJPstate spokesperson Shirsh Boralkar and Local MLA Atul Save saidthat, Mr Gadkari will arrive here tomorrow morning and will proceedto Jalna laying the foundation stone at 1200 hrs for Dryport worthRs 500 crore which will benefit the industrial fraternity to exporttheir product in less transportation charges.

Mr Boralkar further said after the inauguration at JalnaMr Gadkari will arrive at Aurangabad and the inauguration functionof various National highways will be held at Chikalthana area in afunction at 1600 hrs on Jalna road. Mr Save said, the eight highways worth Rs 16640 crore have beenallotted by the National Highways Authority of India.

The National Highways are Aurangbad-Jalgaon-155 km cost Rs 1550crore, Aurangabad-Nashik 183 Km cost 1830 crore, Aurangabad-Shirdi150 km cost Rs 1500 crore, Aurangabad-Paithan-Tisgaon 100 km cost Rs1000 crore, Aurangbad-Jlana-Rajur connecting to Sillod-Chikhalii-100km cost Rs 1000 crore, Aurangabad-Jamner-Barhanpur-Indore 401 Kmcost Rs 4010 crore, Aurangbad-Jalna-Parbhani 125 km cost Rs 1250crore and Khamgaon-Dharur-Majalgaon-Kalamb-Pandharpur-Sangolo-450 KMcost Rs 4500 crore and all the NH works will be started from Januarynext year onwards, Mr Save said. He further said, fund of Rs 38.45 crore under the central roadfund (CRF) for constructing six internal roads in Aurangbad andJalna also got sanctioned. 

Those prominent who were present in the press briefing were BJPMahila Morcha, National President, Vijaya Rahatkar, Bhagwat Karad,AMC standing committee chief Dilip Thorat, Anil Makriye and Kachru Ghodke.
