Good News - Solar lights and panel plant to start in Aurangabad

Solar lights and panel plant would start here with the help of Rajashthan Electronic and Instruments Ltd (REIL), Union Heavy Industries Minister, Anant Geete said. He was in city yesterday to inaugurate the Hi-Tech Machine manufacturing unit plant of Hindustan Machinery Tools (HMT) at Chikaltahana MIDC area, he said preliminary talks have begun with the REIL to start solar lights and panel plant here. The country has set to produce one lakh megawatt solar energy by the year of 2022 under the Make in India project.

Currently, the capacity of solar energy in the country is just 4000 megawatt and there is a lot of opportunities for the industries in this field, Mr Geete said. "We will provide all possible assistance for the expansion of HMT unit here in view of several HMT plants in the country on the verge of closure," he assured. In view of drought situation in Marathwada region for the past four years Mr Geete said that efforts are being taken to utilize the HMT land for cattle feeding production and initial talks are going on with a Swedish company.

Talking about the depot here of Steel Authorities of India (SAIL) which he had announced few months back, he said that matter is being persuaded and positive decision will be taken very soon.
