Bollywood singer Mika Singh to perform in city police's fund-raiser

Aurangabad: The police welfare department at the city police cmmissionerate is holding a fund raising programme at MGM grounds on February 28 with a collection target of Rs 2 crore. Bollywood singing sensations Mika Singh and Deepali Syed are the main attractions at the event.City police chief Amitesh Kumar said that the programme is being organised after a gap of three years and exclusively aims at welfare activities for police personnel and their families. The funds will be used for running the Aurangabad Police Public School and for providing scholarships and educational loans to students."The police are selling tickets for Rs 1,000 for the event. 
However, all the police stations have been instructed not to sell a single ticket to any person coming to the police station," Kumar said.While the city police will spent Rs 60 lakh for the event, 25% of the total collection will go to the state body of the welfare department, sources said.
