MTDC announces competition of Logo design for ‘Visit Maharashtra 2017’ and Tag line for Maharashtra Tourism

New Delhi: Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) is all set to announce a creative competition for Logo Designing and making a Tag Line on the onset of its ambitious ‘Visit Maharashtra 2017’ campaign. A first of its kind initiative, MTDC is set to take showcase Maharashtra’s robust tourism growth story through a creative bent of mind through a public platform. The competition has begun from July 18, 2016 and the last date to submit the entries is August 15, 2016.

The winning Logo will be used for ‘Visit Maharashtra 2017’ campaign for a period of one year and the winning Tag Line will be a statement which will capture the unique mission and vision of Maharashtra Tourism on a long run. This competition will serve as a base for the common people to be closely associated with their very own Maharashtra on a creative note. The competition will be valid for people residing across India and across all age categories. The applicants to share their artwork details and contest forms on contest.mtdc@gmail.com.

Commenting on the announcement of the competition, Mr Satish Soni, Joint Managing Director, Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation said, “Through this competition MTDC is putting bright design talent at the heart of its plan and is inviting the unexplored creative minds in India to design the official logo for ‘Visit Maharashtra 2017’ and a memorable tagline for Maharashtra Tourism. The winning design will become the official logo for the forthcoming themed year and will be used across multiple channels. The tag line will be used on a long run which will truly reflect the persona of Maharashtra. This competition will also give us an opportunity to discover a plethora of ideas coming from these creative minds.”

Smt. Swati Kale, General Manager, Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation said, “India is a powerhouse of creative talent. The competition is a great opportunity for a creative to add a design to their portfolio that has the potential to be seen by millions of people and become highly recognizable during the year with help of Maharashtra Tourism.  The winner will also be able to see their logo design carried across a programme of major and special events due to take place throughout 2016.”
