Special Cabinet meet in Aurangabad, Maharashtra on Oct 4, 2016

A special Cabinet meeting will be held here on October 4, the state government has said. The state government's decision of a special Cabinet meeting comes in the backdrop of the Maratha rallies. The meeting assumes significance as Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is planning district-wise projects to promote the agro-industries to accommodate the concerns of the educated unemployed youths across Maharashtra.

Apart from this, the work of 'Watergrid' system in Marathwada region in two phase on the line of Telangana, Gujrat and Tamilnadu is likely to discuss in the meeting to overcome the scarcity of drinking water in parched region. The focus of the meeting will be to take corrective steps to enhance the irrigation potential in the drought prone Marathwada through 'Jalyukat Shivar'.

Other issues including works of second and third phase of forthcoming Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) will also discussed in the cabinet, sources indicated. The last special cabinet was held under the Chief Minister ship of late Vilasrao Deshmukh in 2008.
