'Dog Exhibition' on Oct 23

The Rotary club of Aurangabad Metro and Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) will jointly organise the 'Dog Exhibition' on October 23. The aim of this exhbition is to sterilise the street dogs and establish an electric crematorium for dogs in the city. Addressing a press conference Dr Anil Bhadekar, president of the Club, who is also a veterinary doctor, said today that, at least 150 various breeds of private dogs in and around the city will participate in the exhibition at MSM Ground. "We have also invited Maharashtra state police dog squad in the exhibition," he added. 

Presently, pet dog guardians in the city are facing a lot of inconvenience after the death of their pets and they simply throw them into the garage depot at Naregaon.Separate stalls in which belts, injections, medicine, and other supported articles, apart feeding information from, will be made available in the exhibition.Dr Bhadekar further said the, club is going to procure a fund of Rs five lakh from this exhibition, then, "we will apply for fund of Rs 20 lakh as Global grand from Rotary International." 

It will be utilised for sterilisation and treatment for 3000 street dog per annum, he added."Our main demand is to provide, land to AMC for establishing an electric crematorium hall for dogs proper cremation, he said adding that establishment charges will be borne by Rotary club.On this occasion, Rajendra Waghchoure, Secretary of Rotary, Chandrakant Chaudhari and Mr Tamboli were also present.
