Tight security for Mah Cabinet meet on Oct 4 in Aurangabad

Elaborate security arrangements are being made for upcoming state cabinet meeting due to be held in city at the divisional commissioner's office on October 4, after the gap of seven years, with the deployment of 4,000 police force. The preparations for the meeting are in full swing and police are not leaving any stone unturned to ensure the safety and convenience of VIPs and VVIPs during their stay in city. In the wake of Indian armed forces strike in Pakistan as well as recent arrest of four suspected Islamic State terrorists from the Parbhani district of the Marathwada region and the 'Navratri' festival, police department is making heavy security on the route from the Chikalthana airport to district collector's office, at divisional commissioner office and Subedari guest house as well as private hotels where the ministers will stay during the meeting, the sources in city police said here today. 

To avoid any untoward incident, the possible rallies to be taken out by various organisations including the Congress party, will be stopped at certain points, they said. Among the 4,000 police force will be six assistant police commissioners, 1,500 police officers and constables, four platoons of State Reserve Police and 2,000 policemen from outside city. They will be deployed at various points in city. Fire engines, ambulances, medical assistance, first aid, bomb detection and disposal squad and sniffer dogs will be kept on stand-by, sources said. The officers and constabulary staffers apart form media persons will be issued I-cards and none will be allowed to enter the meeting areas sans valid I-cards, they added.
