AIGBOO congratulates PM for demonetisation

The All India Grameen Bank Officers Organisation (AIGBOO) which affiliated to the Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his colleague Finance Minister Arun Jaitley for their bold decision on to crack down heavily on corruption, black money and bribery, which is menace to Indian economy. The AIGBOO also expressed belief that the step would curb anti-national activities being funded through counterfeit notes and black money. Talking to mediapersons here today, Mukund Vasekar, General secretary of Maharahstra Gramin Bank Officers Organisation (MGBOO) admitted that, the inconvenience being faced by the common public that their would be little inconvenience in initial few days.  However, with the multiple measures put in place by the RBI, Central government and managements of all the respective banks across the country, the inconvenience would be minimised.

Mr Vasekar clarified that, Mr Jaitley has already assured common citizens that they can deposit up to Rs 2.50 lakh currency of existing notes could be done by without any fear in their account. He appealed to the farmers, landless labourers, small entrepreneurs, traders, SHGs and specially housewives to deposit their own high denomination notes into bank without any apprehension and withdraw only the bare minimum required amount. Mr Vasekar further informed that they have already submitted a memorandum to Bank chairman assuring whole hearted cooperation from all the officers of MGBOO and staff in this 'Clan up drive' and urged the chairman to reassure the thousands of customers of bank.

Responding to this appeal, bank chairman appreciated the initiative by the Union and informs that bank has taken strong steps with the help of existing as well as retired 200 staff across from 17 districts in the state for providing and depositing service to prompt exchange and depositing service to common public, Mr Vasekar added. On this occasion members of union Siddartha Tupe, Harbhau Chavan, Pradeep Simant, Dipak Thackeray and Sanjay Bhale were also present during the briefing.
