Shendra-Bidkin MIDC to generate 3-lakh employment opps in Aurangabad: CM

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today announced that phase manner investment of Rs 70,000-crore by 2030 in Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridors (DMIC) atShendra-Bidkin MIDC would generate 3-lakhs employment opportunities in Aurangabad. He was in city this morning to perform 'bhoomi poojan' of the first integrated administrative building Aurangabad Industrial City (AURIC) at Shendra MIDC area. 

Talking to the media persons, after laying foundation stone ceremony, the Chief Minister said the proposed work on 10,000-acre land of DMIC would be completed in two phases. The first phase work on nine km sq mt has been started at Shendra area which will be completed by 2018 while the second phase of the work will be started next year at Bidkin area and will completed by 2022. A total Rs 8000-crore has been sanctioned for the investment for the development purpose of AURIC by the central government and the first installment of Rs 600-crore has already been released and work is also began since January this year. 

The new industrial city branding AURIC will develop concept of walk to work jointly under the Aurangabad Industrial Township Limited (AITL) by DMIC and MIDC as Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), he said.
