No tax on farm produce: Agriculture Min

Union Agriculture Minister Radhamohan Singh has said there will be no tax on farm produce till NDA-led Narendra Modi Government is in power. Mr Singh was here yesterday to attend the concluding ceremony of the four-day state-level agricultural exhibition Maha Agro. Farmers should not believe in rumours that farmers will be loss after demonetisation, he said, adding that seized black money by the Government will be utilised for the welfare of farmers, he added.

The people in the previous Government are making false allegations against the present Government, he alleged. On the achievements of the Centre, he said it has started work of 23 water projects which will be completed next year. Of 100 projects, nearly 22 are in Maharashtra. He added that there were 15 laboratories in India for which Rs 27-crore were spent and now another 460 labs will be constructed across the country, Mr Singh added. Speaker of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Haribhau Bagde, State BJP President Ravsaheb Danve, MLA Atul Save, city Mayor Bapu Ghadamode, water expert Rajendra Singh Rana, industrialist Dr Badrinarayan Barwale Ram Bhogle, agricultural expert Vijayanna Borade and others attended the function.
