State govt to provide adequate fund to civic bodies developmental work: Fadnavis

Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadanvis today said that the state government will provide adequate fund for developmental works through civic bodies across the state.Mr Fadanvis visited Marathwada region to address election rallies for the second phase of civic bodies election schedule on December 18. Addressing a rally at Gangapur town in Aurangabad district, he said the state government was keen to provide adequate fund to the municipal council for developmental works. 

State government has also decided to appoint a third party committee to monitor the work for its quality and in case of any deficiency reported by the committee the state government will take action against the municipal council, he said adding that there should be transparency in all works including works tender and time bound completion of works.He lauded the various measures and welfare schemes for the citizens undertaken by prime minister Narendra Modi including demonetization of Rs.500/1000 notes to root out corruption and black money from the country.Talking about Prime Minister 'Aawas Yojana' he said in our state so far two lakh houses have been completed under this scheme and those who were still homeless and staying at kaccha houses will be provided their own pacca houses by the end of 2019 in the state. 

Mr Fadanvis appealed to voters to cast their votes in favour of BJP candidates for post of Municipal Council president and corporators in Gangapur town.Speaking on the occasion, state BJP president Raosaheb Danve also said that both central and state governments are BJP governments and adequate fund will be given for developmental works to local bodies.Aurangabad MP Chandrakant Khaire, Gangapur BJP MLA Prashant Bamb and large numbers of party leaders and office bearers were present on the occasion.UNI
