Shiv Sainiks' 'jallosh' in Aurangabad, Marathwada

District Shiv Sena activists today celebrated a 'jallosh' (happiness) by bursting crackers and distributing sweets in the city after party president Uddhav Thackeray snapped a 25-year-old alliance with the BJP for the upcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation polls, zilla parishad, and Panchayat Samiti in the state. Activists, including women, led by district chief Ambadas Danve gathered at Aurangpura locality and organized a 'jallosh'.

Sainiks were seen dancing and bursting crackers during their jallosh and raising slogans like 'Jai Bhavani Jay Shivaji', 'Uddhav Thackeray Zindabad'. Talking to UNI, Mr Danve said their party president's decision to break an alliance with BJP yesterday was inspiring for the Shiv Sainiks who would now be free and their main target was to unfurl the saffron flag on their own in the state.

He was confident that Shiv Sena will contest and emerge successful all local bodies elections in the state without an alliance with BJP. This decision was expected since long but it was pending due to political adjustments, said senior leader Raju Vaidya.

Those who participated in the celebrations were AMC standing committee Mohan Megawale, City chief Balasaheb Thorat, Sena cooperators and office bearers.UNI
