Industrialists plan platform to connect with municiapl body

Aurangabad: The city may soon have a platform for effective collaboration of corporates and the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) for the development of the city. A group of industrialists, social workers and vigilant citizens are planning to develop a platform on the lines of Pune City Connect.Sunil Deshpande, core committee member of the Aurangabad Management Association (AMA), on Thursday told TOI that the proposal is shaping up. "On Thursday, we interacted with municipal authorities including mayor Bapu Ghadamode, deputy mayor Smita Ghogre, standing committee chairman Mohan Meghawale and municipal commissioner Om Prakash Bakoria highlighting the need for such a platform," he said.Deshpande said that the municipal authorities have appreciated the initiative and offered to extend all possible assistance in creating the platform. 

"The authorities have also offered to us provide office space for the proposed forum," he said.Commenting on the objectives of the proposed forum, Deshpande said that the plan is to increase digital literary in the city, maintain cleanliness and promotion of tourism among other issues of public interest.Deshpande said that the AMA is closely following the process that led to formation of Pune City Connect. "In Pune, the forum aims to leverage the collective efforts of various government agencies, corporate houses and citizens to bring about a positive change in the key areas of education, cleanliness, digital literacy, tourism and e-Governance," he said.On the occasion, the AMA organised an interactive session with Ganesh Natrajan, chairman of Pune City Connect, wherein the visitor gave valuable tips on how to achieve the gaols.. .
