Padmaavat' released in Marathwada under tight security


Barring few incidents of stone-pelting, the Sanjay Leela Bhansali's controversial historical film'Padmaavat' was released under tight security in the district aswell as in other districts of the Marathwada region.In the Jalna district, agitators pelted stones on two theaters inJalna city, while a stone-pelting incident was reported on a StateTransport bus in Gangapur of Aurangabad district. 

In Aurangabad city, however, the film, which faced stiff oppostionfrom the Rajput organisations across the country, was released atvarious film theaters in city with about 1,200 policemen deputed atthe spot to tackle any untoward incident. The situation is reportedly peaceful and no untoward incident hadbeen reported so far from anywhere in the city where the shows ofthe movie are running smoothly, police said. Reports from the seven other districts in the region also statedthat 'Padmaavat' was released under heavy security.In view of the protests of the Rajput organisations, police hadenforced 'naka bandi' at all the entry points and busy roads in citysince Wednesday.
