58th formation day of Maharashtra celebrated in Marathwada region


Maharashtra Health and District Guardian Minister Dr Dipak Sawant on Tuesday hoisted the national flag at Devgiri Police Ground at Police Headquarters on the occasion of 58the State Formation Day as well as International Labour Day. While addressing the gathering on the occasion, Dr Sawant said number of developmental schemes, including loan waiver to farmers, Jalyukat Shivar, Mahatma Pule Jeevdaidai Yojana, among others, have been launched by Maharashtra Government for the welfare of people and they would continue in future.

He said 1,48,000 farmers had benefitted under the loan waiver scheme of Rs 468 crore in the district. On the occassion, Dr Swant felicitated police personnel and others for their outstanding performance in their respective field and presented them Director of Police momento and certificate.

City Mayor Nandkumar Ghodele, MP Chandrakant Khaire, local MLAs Atul Savel, Sanjay Shirsat, Bhausaheb Chikatgaonkar, Subash Zambad, District Collector Uday Chaudhari, Divisional Commissioner Purushottam Bhapkar, City Police Commissioner and IGP Dr Milind Bharambe, Aurangabad Rural SP Arathi Singh and prominent personalities, including senior freedom fighters, were among those present on the occasion.

On the occasion various programmers were organised by various labour trade unions in the city. In the premises of Aurangabad Bench of Bombay High Court and Divisional Commissioner's Office, flag hoisting ceremony was held on the occasion.

Reports reaching here from the all district headquarters of the Marathwada region said that flag hoisting functions were held at all the places by the hand of their respective Guardian ministers and Maharashtra Day was celebrated by organizing various programmes in the region.
