Illegal weapons seized in Aurangabad

The city crime branch police has seized illegal weapons, including 12 swords and 13 sharp knives from Nageswarwadi and Mukundwadi localities and arrested seven people, including Manager of a courier company, here. According to police, they got information that arms had been booked online on Flipkart and the Estacort Services Private Limited courier company were to deliver the same here, coming from Amritsar in Punjab. The alert crime branch raided the courier company office at Nageshwarwadi last night and seized the arms.

Aurangabad Police Commissioner Milind Bharambe said, ''We will recommend to Home ministry to stop such type of online purchasing, as Aurangabad is a sensitive city''. The crime branch will also investigate as to how many persons purchased such type of weapons, and will take action against the guilty, Dr Bharambe assured.
