Jet Airways connects Nashik with New Delhi

Jet Airways, India's full-service premierinternational airline, on Friday commenced a direct service linkingthe nation's capital New Delhi with Nashik city in Maharashtra,enhancing regional connectivity from emerging cities within India. 

The airline's first flight to New Delhi departed from Nashik with afull complement guests on board its modern Boeing 737-800 NextGeneration (NG) aircraft with 168 seats, deployed on this route,offering both premiere and economy cabin comforts, with the bestin-flight products and services, including award-winning in-flightentertainment and a choice of delectable meals.

The first flight from Nashik, 9W 3566, departed this afternoon at1435 hours and will land in New Delhi at 1625 hrs. Earlier, Jet Airways flight, 9W 3565, had departed from New Delhi at1200 hrs and arrived in Nashik at 1405 hrs. The flight to New Delhi will currently be operated thrice a week onMonday, Wednesday and Friday. One-way economy fare on the Nashik-Delhi route (under the RegionalConnectivity Scheme) start at Rs 2,980.

Ahead of the launch of its inaugural service to New Delhi fromNashik Airport at Ojhar, Raj Sivakumar, senior vice-president fornetwork planning and revenue management of Jet Airways, lit aceremonial lamp to mark the occasion.

Senior government officials and invitees from Hindustan AeronauticsLimited (HAL) graced the occasion. Among them were Nashik districtcollector Radhkrisnan B, MP Hemant Godse, Nashik IndustrialManufacturs Association (NIMA) president Mangesh Patankar and HAL officers.
