Speaking at a function held to inaugurate Hi-tech office of government pleader in premises of high court here, he said that this was the first such hi-tech IT office for government lawyers across the country. At present 33 lakh cases were pending in courts across the state, including 1.73 lakh in high court bench at Aurangabad, most of which are against the state government, taking too much time for their disposal, hence, the government lawyers of HC bench demanded for an IT centre, the Chief Minister said.

The new office has a special arrangement which will help to admit the cases against the state government and give acknowledgement to complainant immediately on the spot, he informed. Thereafter, the case papers will be scanned and sent to the concerned government offices through e-mail, Mr Fadnavis said and added that this will enable the court to deliver judgements on the cases within 2-3 seatings.
