Mah Police emerge more capable, efficient due to digitalisation: CM

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Saturday said that with implementation of digitization system, the state police department has become more capable and efficient. Speaking after dedication of newly-constructed three-storey building of Aurangabad Police Commissioner ate spread on 21 acre land with all the latest technologies and modern facilities, Mr Fadnavis said thatthe implementation of digital technology has led to better co-ordination and transparency in the work of police department, enabling Maharashtra to become the "digital-policing" state. 

All the police stations in the state have been connected through digital technology, resulting in provision of facilities such as filing of complaints online and helping to bring down the crime ratio, he added.

On this occasion, State Assembly Speaker Haribhau Bagade, Minister of State for Home Ranjit Patil, MP Chandrakant Khaire, Dr Bhagwat Karad, director general of police Datta Padaslgikar, DG housingBipin Buhari, city police commissioner Chiranjiv Prasad and divisional commissioner Dr Purushottam Bhapkar among other senior police officers along with elected representatives were present.
