Free meal to people at Sansthan Ganesh Temple at Aurangabad

A trust of Sansthan Ganesh Temple, known as 'Gramdaivat' of the city here, where late Bal Gangadhar Tilak who had visited this temple, has organised several programmes including daily free meals to the poor during the 11-days long Ganesh festival to be held from Thursday. Addressing a press conference, the trustee of the temple Mr Parfulla Malani said that, we have been providing daily free meals to poor people since last 61 years.

On September 13, the first day of festival, at 1030 hours Lord Ganesh will be established after 'Mahaarthi' performed in which all the people including elected representatives and Ganesh Mahasangh office bearers will be present. During the 10-days long festival various programmes including daily morning mass 'Ganesh Aratervashish' will be recited by the devotes. Deepmahostav and blood donation camp also be organized on September 21.

Behalf of trust painting competition for students organized to showcase their talent in which at least 1000 student will participate. Temple thrust also extended their hand to provide financial assistance to the patients who are facing serious ailments. In view of less rainfall and shortage of fodder the temple also ready to provide fodder to the 'Goshala' (Cow camps) in the district.
