CM should declare 'drought' immediately: Uddhav Thackeray

Coming down heavily on state chief minister Devendra Fadanvis, Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday said instead of seeing almanac (Panchang) for declaring drought across the state, he should declare 'drought' immediately in Marathwada region as well as affected parts in the state. Mr. Thackeray who was on tour of Latur, Beed and Aurangabad in Marathwada region to address shiv Sena booths chiefs and office bearers in the backdrop of the forthcoming Lok Sabha election.

Addressing to the booth chiefs in Latur Mr. Thackeray said severe drought condition prevailed across the Marathwada region due to scanty rainfall and state government was deliberately delaying to announce the drought in the region as well as other affected parts in the state. Instead of appointing committees, why don't they declare drought immediately, he said adding that when the government implemented 'demonetization' and 'GST', that time have they appointed any committees, he asked. Mr. Thackeray further said that, BJP should announce constructing Ram Temple, cancellation of article 370, depositing 15 lakh to each citizen accounts are their election stunt (Jurmala).

'Ram Mandir Banayenge Lekin Tarikh Nahi Batayenge ( we will construct Ram Mandir, but won't declare the date of construction) he quipped and asked BJP for reminding them I am going to visit Ayodhya on November 25, he said. He appealed to shiv sinks go to masses and expose BJP's wrong polices and their huge expenditure on advertisement in the name of development. Expressing the confidence, Mr. Thackeray said that the saffron will unfurl.

Later, he left for Beed to attend the next meeting. Meanwhile, the state CM on Tuesday declared scarcity like the situation in 180 talukas in the state.
