Educationist Mohmmad Ashfaq Ahmed passes away

Founder-president of Alhira Education and Welfare Society, Mohmmad Ashfaq Ahmed, died of heart attack here on Saturday morning. He was 68, and is survived by his wife and two daughters. Mr Ahmed had started the Ekra Urdu School and made immense contribution for education of the minority community. He was also secretary of Jammat-e-Islam education department. 

He was also president of Tanjeem Student Islamic Organisation of India in his young age. In his death, the Jammat-e-Islam has lost their big supporter. The funeral prayer will be held tonight at 2015 hours at Buddilane Masjid and the funeral will take place at Kali Masjid Shahbazar, sources in the Jammat-e-Islami said.
