MSMC Chairman hold meet over Minority Welfare Schemes in Aurangabad


Maharashtra State Minority Commission(MSMC) Chairman Haji Arafat Shaikh on Monday held a review meeting pertaining to the 'Minority Welfare Schemes' at the District Collector Office here. Talking to media persons after the meeting, Mr Shaikh said,"The state government is working in the direction of the minority welfare.The MSMC is taking painstaking efforts for weeding out the injustice and oppression meted out to the minority.""The MSMC is continuously strategizing for the development of the minority community by considering its problems and mulling on ways to resolve them in a speedy manner,"added Mr Shaikh.

During the meeting,Mr Shaikh interacted with the government officials overseeing the minority welfare schemes, members from Wakf Board and Hajj House Committee. Mr Shaikh maintained silence when queried about the Muslim reservation issue.

"I have toured the length and breadth of the state and met with the people from the minority community.A report detailing the problems faced by this community will be submitted by the MSMC to the government for redressal of their grievances,"informed Mr Shaikh.
